  1. The Paint Correction

The definition of a Paint correction- (also known as polishing or buffing) is the process of permanently removing below surface imperfections from a vehicle's finish, restoring the true paint color, depth, and clarity, and reflectivity to states which are often better than factory new. Here at Aim Detailing we do exactly that. Other shops may use wax or other paint fillers to hide imperfections (not correcting any of the damage), only for it to come back a few weeks later. After a true paint correction, the cars paint will be completley free of any defect, and will be in prestine condition.

Swirls and scratch marks are caused by improper washing techniques as well as improper care of the vehicle. Traditional car washes damage your vehicles paintjob leaving swirls and scratches over time. We spend countless hours, using different combinations of polishers and cutting pads to ensure your paint is in pristine condition and scratch/swirl free. Cobweb like Swirl Marks and Scratches can be corrected after a full paint correction. These imperfections that can be corrected include swirl marks, fine scratches as well as bird dropping & acid rain etching, holograms, buffer trails, and random isolated deep scratches.

Some deeper scratches or imperfections may actually be too deep to remove without risking damage to the paint or clear coat. In the event that deeper scratches occur we can wet sand the area and minimize the damage as best as using different grits of wet sand, and multiple cutting pads with a machine polisher making them far less apparent in direct light.  Wet sanding is a very labor-intensive process and requires significant cost and time requirements.

A Paint correction is a very labor demanding process and is usually the most time consuming part of the car detailing process. As a result, it demands a high premium and should only be attempted by a trained professional with years of experience.
